A mindbody approach to understanding anxiety
This live workshop with mindbody practitioner Sam Miller will explore anxiety through a mindbody and nervous system lens. Rather than focusing on managing or suppressing symptoms, this session looks at why anxiety develops, how it can become chronic, and how reconnecting with the body can support a greater sense of emotional safety, regulation, and balance.
This is a reflective, educational session designed to deepen understanding and offer practical, accessible ways of working with anxiety at a deeper level.
Together we'll explore:
The root causes of anxiety and how it links to deeper emotional patterns
Why anxiety can intensify at midlife and during periods of prolonged stress
How anxiety can drive physical symptoms such as chronic pain, gut issues, and hormonal disruption
The connection between trauma, the nervous system, and ongoing anxiety
How simple mindbody practices can help restore a sense of safety, regulation, and emotional balance
